Peakwork sponsors Six Camels team at the Europe Orient Rally to Jordan
Peakwork sponsors the Six Camels team at the Charity Rally in May 2018. At the infamous Europe Orient Rally, Peakwork colleagues will take up the challenge to drive to Jordan in three very old cars. All donations are for charitable purposes.
Jan Gerlach, CEO of Peakwork, says: "We are pleased to support the Peakwork driver team, and to get the opportunity with main sponsor HLX and the other sponsors, Royal Jordan Airlines and Interhome, to support this good cause."
The rally starts on 4th May 2018 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. The goal is to reach Jordan three and a half weeks later. Each rally team consists of six people and three cars. Approved vehicles must be at least 20 years old and not cost more than 1,111.11 Euros! Motorways and toll roads may not be used. Certain stages must be approached to fulfill special tasks and tests. The team is only allowed to sleep in the car, in the open air, in a rented tent or in lodging/hotels, which cost less than 11.11 Euro per night and person. The vehicles will be donated on arrival in Jordan.
Michael Schmidt, participant and Peakwork CTO, explains: "We would like to thank our main sponsor HLX and the other sponsors, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Interhome and Peakwork. We are still collecting sponsorships and donations, which will go towards supporting schools, children's homes and refugee projects. We will also provide non-cash donations, such as relief supply, for the SOS Children's Villages."
