DER Touristik boosts metasearch sales for DERTOUR, ITS, JAHN REISEN and MEIERS WELTREISEN via Peakwork connectivity
DER Touristik is driving collaboration and sales with global metasearch partners, such as Trivago, TripAdvisor, Google and Kayak. Last year, DER Touristik extended its hotel online distribution to various metasearch sites through the Peakwork Leisure Travel Network and will focus on increasing meta distribution in 2019. Many hotel and package offers, from brands including DERTOUR, ITS, JAHN REISEN and MEIERS WELTREISEN are already available on Trivago, TripAdvisor, Kayak and Google.
Overall, online sales via metasearch are growing for hotel, flight and package partners in the Peakwork network. Bookings on metasearch are increasing significantly year on year and are gaining in proportion over total sales. Metasearchers also continue to develop these products and 2018 saw two major developments: package and “book-on” roll-out.
With direct connectivity to all the global players, such as Google, TripAdvisor, Trivago, Kayak and Facebook, as well as “local heros” such as Momondo, Swoodoo, Checkfelix Cheapflights and idealo, Peakwork is rapidly expanding its distribution capability and network with several platforms that are currently in implementation and will launch soon.
