WHAT YOU DO
- You develop backend services as part of our distributed systems, with a focus on XML/CSV/binary data processing that meet the highest requirements in terms of performance and reliability
- You integrate our partners’ web services (SOAP/REST) to continuously expand our network
- You and your team are responsible for the technology, API and architecture of your services
- You help shape the ongoing evolution of our software, including the further migration to the cloud and optimized use of Google Cloud Platform
- You work independently and pragmatically on incremental features
- Tests and code reviews are an important part of your daily work
WHAT YOU BRING
- Several years of professional experience in Java development and the motivation to continuously develop your coding skills
- You are well versed in the Java ecosystem and at least one framework, such as Spring or Quarkus
- You have experience with web services, processing and transformation of data (XML/JSON/CSV)
- You have an interest in new technology and can quickly learn new topics
- You are a good communicator and enjoy working in an agile environment across team boundaries
- Practical experience with MicroService architectures and a cloud vendor, such as Google Cloud Platform, is particularly helpful.
- Ideally, you also have practical experience in development with C++, Python and XSLT
